	The National Center for Scientific Research, or CNRS, is a public organization under the responsibility of the French Ministry of Education and Research. Founded in 1939 by governmental decree, the CNRS aims to evaluate and carry out all research capable of advancing knowledge and bringing social, cultural, and economic benefits for society; contribute to the promotion and application of research results; develop scientific information; support research training; participate in the analysis of the national and international scientific climate and its potential for evolution in order to develop a national policy.

	Le Mans Acoustique is a consortium founded in 2008 to further the interests of acoustics-based projects in research, innovation and dissemination on a local, national and international level. From the outset, the consortium was well received by local authorities and trusts who offered their official support. The regional authority takes a particular interest as part of its research, training and innovation programme (RFI in French).

	LAUM
	Laboratoire d'Acoustique de l'Université du Mans. LAUM is a Research Lab of the University of Le Mans and the CNRS (UMR 6613). The Laboratory's activities are mainly focused on acoustics, vibrations and ultrasounds.
	ENSIM - Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs du Mans
	ENSIM is the engineering school of the université du Mans that trains over 300 students in acoustic science and computer science.The school includes also one part of the laboratories of the LAUM (vibroacoustics, optics, microtechnologies).
